Co-founder and managing partner of Gorman & Kozak, LLP, Peter J. Kozak focuses his practice on plaintiffs' personal injury law, representing the victims of auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and fall accidents, premises liability cases, dog bites, wrongful death matters, and injuries caused by drunk drivers. In his over 20 years of experience practicing law, Mr. Kozak has served as a Judge Pro Tempore in El Dorado County Superior Court and in the Sacramento County Superior Court, overseeing a range of settlement conferences, dispute resolution conferences, and status conferences. Mr. Kozak attended the University of California, Davis for his undergraduate studies, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/Public Service in 1984. After college, Mr. Kozak attended the University of California, Davis, School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1987. He remains active in community and volunteer activities, serving as a member of several professional law associations, including the El Dorado County Bar Association, the California Capitol City Trial Lawyers Association, and Consumer Attorneys of California. Mr. Kozak served as President on the Board of Directors of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of El Dorado County from 1999 to 2008.Mr. Kozak was admitted to the California State Bar in 1988. He is admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of California (1991) and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (1993).
